Welcome aboard, come sit a spell and we'll talk about catchin' Big 'Uns!

I've fished all my life, in fact I can't remember not having a fishin' pole or boat.  I received  my BS degree in Zoology and my captains license in the same year, 1963.

   My success as a charter captain and my livelihood hinges on BIG FISH  and my ability to produce them for my anglers.  In their respective seasons, I target the biggest available species, if my party so desires, for at least part of the trip.  Cobia, Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel, Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, Jewfish, Tarpon and Sharks are often caught but Gag Grouper are my "bread and butter" fish year round.

  There have been 24 IGFA World Records caught aboard the Whopper Stopper over the years.  I also tag Cobia and Tripletail for the University of Southern Mississippi as part of a project to determine growth rate and migration patterns.
