Welcome to our product review page. We occasionally see products that we feel are of particular interest to anglers. We showcase those products here! We hope you find this useful. The Boyster Bag
Now here is a product some of you may have seen at the Spring Fling! John Maddox, ( the guy who cooked the awesome blackened grouper at the Fling!) is the owner of the Boyster Company and has developed an insert that fits into any bag that is made to hold 6 Plano 3600 storage boxes. You can find these bags at most Wal Marts. The insert will accommodate 12 extra large hard baits like the Manns Stretch 30 Magnums. This system protects those high dollar lures, plus adds a measure of safety from those massive treble hooks!! No more tangled baits stuffed into your tackle box! You can purchase the Boyster Bag online at www.boyster.com for $29.95 The Boyster Billy
Another Product from Boyster is the Boyster Billy. This is a solid aluminum bar that has a specially designed tip that has slots for easily removing hooks! The handle has a non-slip bicycle style grip and lanyard for control. The Boyster Billy can be purchased online at www.boyster.com for $24.95 The Boyster Wrench

It has a wide, thick screwdriver at the end that is handy for backing out flush mounted gas caps. Universal sized drain plug wrench will take out most of the standard brass drain plugs. The wrench also will fit some of the newer style motors to remove spark plugs. Comes with a lanyard for easy storage. The Boyster Wrench can be purchase online at www.boyster.com for $9.95 The Boyster Hook Sharpener
Fitec International Inc. Super Spreader Cast Net
Capt. Ken saw this cast net at the Frank Sargeant fishing show and gave it a try there. Sure enough, it was as easy to throw and open as they said it would be. The Super Spreader net has a special ring in the center that, according to Fitec, helps open the net properly without the effort required by most other nets. Fitec sells the nets in many different sizes and weights for various applications. The Super Spreader net can be purchased online at www.castnets.com starting at $23.00 Accurate Fishing Products
Coach introduced these reels to me a few weeks ago. A family owned and operated company right here in the U.S., Accurate makes one heck of a reel! I made a comment to MPicasso about the reels at the Fling......"they are built like tanks...they look like they would still work if you dragged them behind your truck to the ramp first!" The reels are made from solid one piece aluminum and feature their patented Twin-Drag system, employing dual drag systems to handle even the most aggressive fish with ease and control. Teflon impregnated stainless ball bearings smooth things out, while solid stainless steel gears get the work done! If you were considering a Shimano Trinidad, or Penn International Series, I would strongly consider taking a look at these reels. The Accurate line of reels can be purchased online at www.accuratefishing.com starting at $319.99 Logic (now Triumph) Boats
I got a look at these new boats at the Frank Sargeant show in Tampa. Then Mike's Marine World in Belleview started selling the lineup. I went up there a took a close look at the boats and must admit I was very intrigued. These are very unique boats indeed! Rather than a long explanation of their construction methods here, I will refer you to their website. You really should do a little reading on these boats....they may have stumbled on how boats could be constructed in the future!! LogicTM boats are built with pride in Durham, North Carolina. Our computerized, 70,000 square-foot boat molding factory is the most advanced facility of its kind anywhere in the world. Boats are cast in one, virtually indestructible piece using one of Logic's custom, computer-controlled convection ovens. RopleneTM construction is the new, high tech, pollution-free way to build strong, low-maintenance fishing and utility boats. All of Logic's boat models are GSA Approved and come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Cutco. Fisherman's Solution Knife
A good friend of mine got this knife for Christmas last year. We fish together quite a bit and I have had the chance to see how the knife did over the course of time. Excellent! The knife stayed sharp after many a grouper with just a few strokes over the whetstone. What's really unique about these knives is the blade adjusts in or out of the handle from 6" to 9" so whether your cleaning bream or grouper you've got the right knife. The holster has a plier like tool on it and the handle of the knife is a non-slip plastic that is easy to handle even after I had fish slime all over me! You can check out these knives and other cutlery out at www.cutco.com although they do not post a retail price for these knives on their site, my friends son told me he paid about $50 for this model. Honda Four Stroke Outboards
I was talking to Lynn at Mike's Marine World http://www.mikesmarineworld.com/about when Honda was going to build a bigger four stroke motor. Well, here it is! Honda is scheduled to get these brutes to dealers sometime next year. Honda
Marine recently revealed that it is developing a
powerful new V-6, 4-stroke outboard that will
produce up to 225 hp. The unit, which is projected
to be available in early 2002, will be ideal for
offshore saltwater applications, and many
higher-horsepower freshwater applications, as well.
Chum Churn
The Chum Churn has been featured on the cover of Sport Fishing Magazine and is getting rave reviews all over the place. Click here to read story. This product looks like it would make chumming a super simple task. I have not had experience with the product myself, but the whole design makes sense to me....I can see why it would work. I'll refer you to they're web-site for more information on this, what looks to be an excellent product! You can check out the Chum Churn at www.chumchurn.com the unit retails for $129.95
